Holby ED was rocked in recent weeks when a TV documentary aired showing the realities of life in the department.
Casualty fans are sure that clinical lead Patrick Onley (played by Jamie Glover) has made a mistake after he accused Doctor Rash Masum (Neet Mohan) of being the whistleblower in the long running BBC medical drama. The staff have been on tenterhooks since a documentary aired after someone in the department spoke to a TV crew about the realities of life in the hospital and the NHS and everyone had a motive for speaking out.
Patrick is convinced that Rash is the culprit and has been coming down on him ever since the young medic saw him using a clamp to create an issue for a patient so that he could save the day. In the latest episode he sat Rash down in his office to inform that an email had been brought to his attention before reading it out to him.
The damning latter listed shortcomings in the ED that needed “aggressive direct action”. Rash admitted sending the email but completely denied being the whistleblower.
Believing that Patrick was targeting him he asked: “Is this becasue I saw you pocketing that clamp in resus, which quite frankly is a bizarre thing to do.”
“Our ability to help patients relies on trust and respect whch you destroyed in one selfish and traitorous swoop. Conspiriing with a TV company known for creating disaster narratives for a scandal hungry audience,” Patrisk accused.
Patrick Onely believes he has found the whistleblower.
Do you think I’d do something as explosive as go to the media?” Rash agonisied adding, “although maybe to get through to you i should have.”
Their furious interaction was heard by other staff who awkwardly tried to go about their business as Rash forlornley realised Patrick believed he was guilty of whistlblowing.
However viewers aren’t convinced and think Patrick has made a huge mistake and the culprit is in fact a nurse.
Rida Amaan (Sarah Seggari) was later seen breaking talking to an unconscious patient saying she was jut trying to show the world the truth.”
Fans of the show are convinced this was a confession and took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to air their theories.
