Next week on Casualty, Stevie and Iain’s lives hang in the balance on a training day, while Nicole struggles with her health and Indie’s lie is exposed during an incident.
For the lowdown on these stories and more, here is a round up of all the biggest moments from next week’s episode of the current boxset ‘Public Property’ – titled ‘Precipice’.
1. Stevie gets a shock
Stevie attends a HEMS training day with Iain, but she is thrown when she sees Rich. He attempts talking to her, but Stevie is keen to keep things professional between them. She later tells Iain that she is thinking of moving over to HEMS full time, as a result of the drama surrounding Siobhan and Rich. However, she vows not to let Rich ruin this training day.
2. Nicole causes concern
Nicole spots that her friend Rosie looks ill and tells her that she will run some checks – but her own health is soon a concern. While listening to a patient’s breathing, she is affected by the noise of the machines and becomes unsteady but manages to compose herself.
The shift gets worse when Nicole fails to spot a serious illness in a patient. Faith tries to sympathetic with her, as she has been through a lot recently, but says that it should have been picked up sooner. Nicole is quick to reassure her that she is fine, but Faith isn’t convinced. Will she get to the bottom of what is wrong with Nicole?
3. Iain takes a risk
As part of a training exercise, Stevie and Iain begin abseiling down a cliff together, but things so seriously wrong when one of the ropes frays and snaps. The one remaining rope isn’t able to hold their weight, so Iain has a tough decision to make. He chooses to cut himself free and falls to the trees below, leaving Stevie alone on the cliff. Will Iain be okay, or has he made the ultimate sacrifice?
4. Indie comes clean
When a patient Indie is looking after suddenly goes into cardiac arrest, she calls for Teddy and tells him that she isn’t able to put on the defibrillator pads. Teddy is confused but doesn’t have time to question it, as he steps in to try and save the patient’s life.
Later, Indie is forced to admit that she didn’t pass the cardiac module of her course. Teddy doesn’t like that she has been lying to Jan, but will he keep Indie’s secret?
5. Jodie faces a difficult choice
Jodie discovers that Aaron has written an article about Dylan that has been published in the newspaper, but she is shocked to realise that he hasn’t mentioned her name. Aaron calls Jodie later and asks her at The Anchor. Over a drink, he asks Jodie for help and wants her to be there to support both him and baby Elsie. What will Jodie say?
Casualty airs on Saturday nights on BBC One and now streams first on BBC iPlayer, where episodes are released at 6am on the day of transmission.
