Silent Witness has returned to BBC One with a gripping episode titled Vanishing Point. In this instalment, Nikki Alexander (Emilia Fox) finds herself in a dire situation when a fellow passenger on her flight falls ill with a potentially fatal disease.
As her team in London investigates a similar case in India, Nikki is forced to perform an autopsy on the living patient. The episode sees the return of David Caves as Jack Hodgson and Maggie Steed as Harriet, along with Francesca Mills as newcomer Kit.
The second part of Vanishing Point will air on Tuesday, with the current season consisting of 10 episodes. The final story will be broadcast next week.

Porter – Kashif Ghole
Kashif Ghole graduated from Arts Ed in 2023 and he made his professional stage debut in Brown Boys Swim.
He has also taken on a guest role in Casualty.
Tristan – Harvey Comerford
Harvey Comerford grew up in West London and originally studied Theology before turning his attention to drama.
He has appeared in a number of short films including The Chair and What Sadie Saw.
Camilla – Georgia Jay
Georgia Jay is an English actress who has played Steph Miligan in Emmerdale since November 2024.
In 2015 she took up the role of Jennifer in Lake Placid vs Anaconda and played Dianne Vickers in Giri/Haji.
Beth Tyler – Jo Hartley
Jo Hartley is a 52-year-old English actress who has appeared in This Is England and Eddie the Eagle.
Her television appearances include roles in After Life, Bliss and Bank of Dave. The actress hails from Greater Manchester and previously worked in the aviation industry before shifting her focus to acting.
She is a mother to two sons, Gary and Richard.
Grant Townsend – Paul Hilton
Grant Townsend is portrayed by Paul Hilton, a 55 year old English actor recognised for his performances in The Bill, Midsomer Murders and True Dare Kiss. He is married to English actress and ceramicist Anastasia Hille, with whom he has one child. They reside in Sussex.
Tony Jenkins – Steve Oram
Tony Jenkins is played by Steve Oram, a 51 year old English actor, comedian and writer celebrated for his role in Sightseers, which he also co-wrote. Originally from Leicestershire, he has secured roles in DI Ray, Killing Eve and Doctor Who.
John Darby – Joshua Leese
John Darby is brought to life by Joshua Leese, an alumnus of The Oxford School of Drama. His credits include Extraordinary, Chernobyl and Napoleon.
Josh Darby – Kareem Alexander
Josh Darby is enacted by Kareem Alexander, a British-born Anglo-Egyptian actor who has produced his own and other artists’ Spoken Word pieces. He has also directed and starred in his own short films. His credits include Doctors, Litvinenko and Vampire Academy.
Parveen Singh – Nikkita Chadha
Parveen Singh is portrayed by Nikkita Chadha, a British actress and dancer from London who proudly embraces her Indian heritage. Fluent in Hindi, she takes great pride in her South Asian roots.
She comes from a renowned family, with both her mother and sister, Nisha and Anoushka Chadha, being actresses. Her credits include Never Kiss Your Best Friend, Hijack and The Regime.
Jodie Wright – Connie Hyde
Connie Hyde, a 55 year old English actress hailing from Lancashire, is best known for her roles as PC Cathy Bradford in The Bill, DC Janet Miller in City Central and Catherine Heywood in Wing and a Prayer. She is happily married to Finlo Corrin and they have two children together.
Ramesh Patel – Asif Khan
Ramesh Patel is portrayed by Asif Khan, a 33 year old Indian actor recognised for his role as Babar in Mirzapur.
Ade Kwame – Gershwyn Eustache Jr
Gershwyn Eustache Jr is a 40-year-old actor and producer from London who is known for Britannia, Fortitude and Run.
Emily – Samila Kul
Samila Kul is a British Australian actress who made her TV debut in Doctor Who alongside Peter Capaldi, with other credits including Rellik, Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story and Casualty.
