1. A plane crash rocks Holby

Rich drops Siobhan off at the ED, and he awkwardly asks how to tell the kids that they are splitting up. They agree to break the news that evening, and Rich rushes to the scene of a plane crash.
Meanwhile, Stevie is in the middle of her interview for the clinical lead role when Rash interrupts to tell her about the plane crash – and with Dylan off work, she is in charge.
With Holby responding to the major incident, Stevie gets on with the job and ignores a voicemail from Rich. But she gets worried when she hears there has been an explosion at the crash site.
2. Faith is betrayed

Faith has been letting her friend Astrid stay with her, after she promised that she was clean from drugs. But she gets a shock when she finds Astrid looking for drugs in the ED’s medicine cupboard, having stolen Faith’s pass.
Faith is furious that her friend has betrayed her trust, and she tells her that she wants her out of the house before reporting her to security. What will Astrid do next?

3. Rich is found

Stevie tries to phone Rich, but it goes straight to voicemail. She spots Teddy bringing in a fireman to the ED and is terrified that it could be Rich, but Siobhan eventually confirms that it isn’t her husband.
Siobhan later sees Rich being brought in, alive and talking but covered in soot. She tells her husband that she still cares about him – and Stevie secretly does the same. Will the day’s events change this complicated love triangle?
4. Jacob feels rejected

Jan gives Jacob the good news that his son Blake is being released from the psychiatric ward today. But Jan also says that he wants her to pick him up, not Jacob, leaving him heartbroken.
As Jacob continues his shift, he treats some plane crash victims who give him pause for thought. How will he approach the situation with his son?

5. Tariq is helpless

Kareem is aware of the major incident in the ED, and decides to discharge himself as he doesn’t want to be a burden to the team on such a busy day.
Now he is aware of his dad’s cancer, Tariq isn’t happy with this decision but isn’t able to stop him. Will Tariq make things worse for himself?
6. Sophia has news
BBC
While Dylan has been suspended from work, he is called into the busy ED as the team needs all hands on deck to respond to the plane crash. He arrives to find Sophia, who is out of her depth treating a patient – and tells him that they need to have a chat.
Later in the stressful day, Dylan and Sophia find some time to talk, but what does she have to say?
Casualty airs on Saturday nights on BBC One and now streams first on BBC iPlayer, where episodes are released at 6am on the day of transmission.
