Home and Away‘s Dana Matheson is set to doubt the future of her relationship with Xander Delaney after his departure.

Xander recently departed for Melbourne to expand his business plans, telling Dana he’d be gone for six weeks.

In scenes set to air on Thursday, February 27 and Friday, February 28, Xander calls up Dana and asks her to come visit him in Melbourne.

However, her excitement is short-lived as Xander calls her again and retracts his invitation, saying that he needs to commit to his new business internship.

John points out that it’s barely been a week of Dana being in a long-distance relationship and there’s already been complications. She later tells her sister Harper that she’s worried that things may be over between her and Xander already.

Harper tries to console Dana, but is it inevitable that the relationship has run its course?

Xander first appeared in 2022, with his exit scenes airing in Australia late last year.

Although actor Luke Van Os appears in the show’s new opening titles, which premiered earlier this month, last week in Australian-pace episodes it was revealed that Xander’s departure is permanent.

After landing his dream job as an events manager for a major hospitality group, Xander shared that he has decided to stay in Melbourne. How will Dana cope with losing Xander for good?
