The four-part drama, Platform 7, based on Louise Doughty’s novel of the same name, kicks off on ITV tonight, May 26. The series centres around a ghost named Lisa, trapped on the station platform where she met her end, unable to transition to the afterlife.
Lisa is left with no recollection of her demise until she witnesses a suicide on the same platform. This harrowing incident triggers the return of her memories in small fragments.
A transport police officer takes a special interest in her case, and Lisa edges closer to unravelling the truth about her fate. The series initially premiered on ITVX on December 7.
The show received a mixed response when it first aired, but there are hopes it will garner a new fanbase on linear TV.

Who stars in the first episode of Platform 7?
Lisa – Jasmine Jobson
Lisa is portrayed by Jasmine Jobson, a 29-year-old British actress famed for her role as Jaq in the series Top Boy.
She has also featured in the film Surge and the second season of Noughts and Crosses.
Speaking to pressparty.com about her character, she said: “Without giving away too much, Lisa is a ghost, trapped at a station.”
“She’s very strong-minded and strong-willed and she witnesses a devastating incident that jogs her fractured memory.”
“Along her journey, she finds similarities to something that she’s experienced herself, which in turn gives her a lot of power, which is very exciting.”
Akash Lockhart – Yaamin Chowdhury
Yaamin Chowdhury, known for his roles in The Lazarus Project and The Essex Serpent, plays the character Akash.
He also had a stint as Rory in an episode of Ghosts.
Melissa – Sacha Parkinson
Sacha Parkinson, a 32-year-old English actress famous for her role as Sian Powers in Coronation Street, portrays Melissa.
She has also been recognised for her main roles in The Driver and Mr Selfridge.
Richard Shale – Reece Ritchie
Richard Shale is brought to life by Reece Ritchie, a 38-year-old English actor primarily known for his film roles. He starred in 10,000 BC and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, as well as Hercules.
His TV role in White Heat may also be familiar to viewers.
Matthew Goodson – Toby Regbo
Matthew Goodson is played by Toby Regbo, a 32-year-old English actor with experience on stage, screen and film. He is known for his roles in Mr Nobody, The Last Kingdom and Reign.
He was set to be part of the cast of the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel Bloodmoon, but the pilot did not get picked up.

Rosaria Diaz – Tábata Cerezo
Tabata Cerezo, a Spanish actress best known for The Mallorca Files, plays Rosaria Diaz. She also previously starred in The Night Manager and Finding Altamira.
Izzy – Rhiannon Clements
Rhiannon Clements, a 29-year-old English actor best known for her theatre roles, plays Izzy. From 2020 to 2021, she portrayed Summer Ranger in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
On stage, she performed in The Tempest, Alice in Wonderland and Wuthering Heights.
Evelyn Evans – Natasha Joseph
Evelyn Evans is portrayed by talent Natasha Joseph, who’s graced Emmerdale twice in different roles. She’s slipped into the shoes of Linda McIntyre, a social worker, back in February 2017 and then took on the role of oncologist Celia Dunham from May to July 2022.
Natasha’s also made waves in ‘One Day’, ‘Fool Me Once’, ‘Sex Education’, and ‘Grace’.
Trevor Evans – Patrick Robinson
Trevor Evans comes to life through Patrick Robinson, age 60, whose claim to fame is his standout portrayal of Martin “Ash” Ashford in the long-running medical drama Casualty. His career has also seen him as Father Benedict in The Last Kingdom’s fifth season and tickling funny bones in BBC’s comedy series Outlaws.

Ella – Emily Carey
Young starlet Emily Carey, aged 21, embodies the character of Ella. Launching their acting trajectory on stage as a child, they have since shone in Casualty before transcending into big-screen stardom with roles in blockbuster hits like Wonder Woman, Tomb Raider, and the epic fantasy series House of the Dragon.
Dalmar – Beru Tessema
Playing Dalmar is Beru Tessema, a gifted Ethiopian-British writer-director with an acting foundation laid at the prestigious RADA.
Layla – Cleo Sylvestre
The role of Layla is helmed by acclaimed English actress Cleo Sylvestre, also known by her birth name Cleopatra Mary Palmer. Her stellar appearances have enriched the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow with cherished keepsakes from her illustrious early days.
Her impressive CV boasts roles in renowned series such as Doctor Who, Coronation Street, and All Creatures Great and Small.
