Home and Away’s Tane Parata to receive shocking threat in baby plot

Home and Away‘s Tane Parata gets a nasty shock in a tense new storyline, as Harper Matheson threatens to block his access to their baby son.
Tane is stunned as Harper seems to be using their child as a weapon amid bitter clashes following their break-up.
After weeks of uncertainty, the couple’s rocky relationship finally came to an end on Australian screens on Thursday (April 3).
On the eve of their wedding, Harper finally asked the question that’s been plaguing her for months – urging Tane to confirm whether he loved her or not.

Tane confirmed that he cared deeply about Harper because she’s the mother of his unborn child, but admitted that it wasn’t love.
Despite this, Tane still wanted to go ahead with the wedding – determined that they could make it work for the sake of their son.
Harper had other ideas. Despite briefly getting changed into her wedding dress on the morning of the ceremony, she soon sought out Tane to call off their big day.
She told him: “We can still be a family – we don’t have to be married. You’ve told me a hundred times how much you care about me.
“I’m sorry – I want more. I deserve more. I won’t bring our child up in a lie. And I don’t want a loveless marriage.”

While this seemed to be an amicable break-up, a new promo for next week’s Australian episodes has revealed that things quickly turn sour.
As Harper starts to resent Tane for stringing her along for such a long time, she threatens to retaliate by cutting him out of their son’s life.
She warns: “I don’t want you in Archie’s life at all, because I am going to do this all on my own.”
Defending her actions, Harper declares that she can’t even bear to look at Tane after the way he’s treated her.
The warnings send Tane into a spin and he’s deeply frustrated when even his friend Cash Newman seems to be taking Harper’s side. Can Tane and Harper put their emotions to one side and make a co-parenting arrangement work?
Home and Away airs these scenes next week on Channel 7 in Australia and late May on Channel 5 in the UK.
