Marilyn warns Alf that she’s concerned about Roo and Eliza, but he insists that they both need to be supportive. Roo’s struggles continue when she’s unable to engage Eliza in home schooling, as the teen seems completely uninterested in every topic.
Later, Eliza seizes an opportunity to quiz Levi on how he became a surgeon. Roo gets carried away by this, believing that she’s finally found a subject that interests Eliza. Is her optimism misplaced?
Meanwhile, Sonny suggests throwing a party to give Remi the chance to smooth things over with Cash, but Cash confuses everyone by refusing to attend.
Bree sheds light on the matter by telling Remi that Cash may have figured out his previous apology wasn’t genuine. Later, Levi gets involved by asking Cash and Remi to both help him with a delivery.
There’s no shortage of emotional tension and fragile relationships in Home and Away next week, as several residents face personal challenges and shifting dynamics.
Marilyn becomes increasingly concerned about Roo and Eliza’s strained relationship, voicing her worries to Alf. But Alf remains firm, insisting that Roo and Eliza need support, not interference. Roo, however, is clearly struggling. Her efforts to homeschool Eliza are falling flat, as the teenager shows zero interest in any of the subjects presented to her. The disconnect between them deepens, leaving Roo feeling helpless and increasingly disheartened.
Later, a glimmer of hope appears when Eliza starts asking Levi questions about how he became a surgeon. The conversation sparks Roo’s excitement, as she believes she may have finally found something that captures Eliza’s attention. Eager for a breakthrough, Roo latches onto the idea that medicine might be Eliza’s calling. But while her optimism is well-meaning, there’s a lingering question — is Eliza genuinely inspired, or is Roo reading too much into a fleeting moment of curiosity?
Elsewhere in the Bay, Sonny tries to take matters into his own hands to mend fences between Remi and Cash. He suggests throwing a party as a neutral setting where the two can sort out their differences and finally move past the tension. But the plan quickly hits a snag when Cash surprises everyone by flat-out refusing to attend. His absence casts a shadow over Sonny’s good intentions and leaves those close to the situation puzzled.
Bree steps in with some insight, telling Remi that Cash may have realised the apology he previously received wasn’t sincere. Her honesty forces Remi to reflect on how he handled things and whether he’s truly been fair to Cash. Just as the situation seems to be at a standstill, Levi steps up in a bid to bring the pair together. He asks both Cash and Remi to help him out with a delivery — a subtle but strategic move that could force the two into close quarters long enough to break the ice.
Whether this unconventional approach will lead to a proper reconciliation remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: the residents of Summer Bay aren’t giving up on each other just yet.
