Home and Away‘s Tane Parata will soon discover Eliza Sherwood’s creepy obsession with his unborn baby.
In recent episodes, Eliza was reluctant to get to know her new neighbours but was surprisingly drawn to pregnant Harper Matheson. Viewers were concerned when the teenager also revealed an interest in death and weaponry, later swiping a fishing knife from the bait shop.
Next week, Roo Stewart and Eliza bump into Tane, who excitedly shows them Harper’s latest scan. Eliza eyes the photo of the unborn child, oddly mesmerised by the sight of it.
Meanwhile, Marilyn notices that money has gone missing from her bag, for the second time since Eliza moved in. Alf and Justin remind her that she shouldn’t throw around an accusation like that unless she’s completely sure.
That evening, Eliza asks Roo if they can go shopping for activewear ahead of the youth programme, claiming she has her own money to pay for it. Suspicious Marilyn overhears and raises her concern to Roo, but is bluntly shut down and accused of being judgmental.

Following their clash, Roo and Marilyn make amends, as Marilyn apologises for accusing Eliza of stealing. Roo suddenly gets a call from Tane who explains that her foster child hurt one of the boys at the youth program, and it wasn’t an accident. When confronted about it, Eliza spins a lie that he told her Roo doesn’t really care about her.
Later, at the Diner, Eliza’s caught with the ultrasound photo. She admits she stole it, assuming her fascination with the life growing inside Harper is justification for such an act. Roo drags her to the gym so she can apologise.
She returns the scan photo to Tane, who’s initially confused as to why she would take it. Roo mentions Eliza’s fascination with all things medical but he struggles to understand her creepy actions.

“Tane is used to challenging behaviour during his classes – after all, the whole point of his youth programme is to get troubled teens back on track,” our Home and Away insider shares.
“Even so, he’s unsettled by Eliza’s lack of remorse for her actions and the creepy nature of her obsession with Harper’s baby. Is he right to suspect that there are much bigger issues at play here?”
Tane invites Roo over for a private chat, where he flags that Eliza has some deeper issues and the programme might not be the right place for her.
Roo once again stands up for Eliza, so Tane gives her some ground rules if she’d like to keep attending. After they leave Tane’s, Eliza lashes out at Roo, telling her she means nothing to her and leaving Roo devastated.
