The BBC has promised an ‘innovative’ return for Casualty.
The long-running medical drama will be back on screens at Christmas following the last episode of the latest series last Saturday.
But bosses have teased that when it does return for the new episode over the festive period, it will be in a ‘innovative, format-breaking way’ that hasn’t been done before.
A new trailer was released for the upcoming special, during which Holy City Hospital is seen covered in snow.
The classic Pogues track Fairytale of New York plays in the background while a hand retrieves a blood bag adorned with a Christmas bow from a fridge.
