The 30-year-old disclosed how a particularly severe hangover led to a life-changing realization. Weir shared that on the morning of April 18, she had a vivid, unsettling vision of herself as an older woman, isolated and consumed by the very habits that had been holding her back. This moment of clarity prompted her to stop drinking, marking the beginning of her two-and-a-half-year journey to sobriety.

Weir, who had been using alcohol to cope with past trauma and anxiety, recounted how it was not just a social habit but a means of numbing deep emotional pain. She admitted that drinking had led her to push people away, and she found herself frequently drinking alone, with red wine being her drink of choice. At the time, Weir was struggling as an independent actor and working in bars to support herself, while facing the constant challenges of rejection in the entertainment industry.

Since then, Weir has been attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and working with a counselor to address her past issues.
