Casualty Fans Stunned After Recognizing Handsome Newcomer – Where You’ve Seen Him Before

AMANDALAND viewers are driven wild by her hot neighbour and only just realising where they’ve seen him before.

The BBC’s beloved sitcom Motherland ended in 2022 after three seasons with the final episode being the Christmas special.

The much anticipated spin-off show Amandaland has finally debuted on TV screens after months of waiting for excited fans.

Following her divorce, Amanda has had to downsize and move from leafy Chiswick to South Harlesden, or as she calls it SoHa.

With her two children now at secondary school, Amanda has to try and get her head around raising teenagers, dealing with modern motherhood horrors like underage drinking, fake Instagram accounts and eco anxiety.

Amanda’s mother Felicity is constantly around, and completely in denial that she is, in fact, lonely.

And it’s not long before Amanda finds herself struggling to adapt to her new surroundings.

While there are some very familiar faces returning for the spin-off like the iconic Joanna Lumley as Felicity and Philippa Dunne as Anne.

There are also some new characters, including Amanda’s moody downstairs neighbour Mal, played by Samuel Anderson.

Lots of fans have taken to social media to comment on his handsome looks and call for his character to become a main love interest for Amanda.

One viewer gushed: “Watching Amandaland. So funny. Also her neighbour is so yummm.”

Another added: “Need more ASAP and so here for the Amanda/Mal slow burn. ‘Love Mal.”

“The bickering between Amanda and Mal got me so weak lmao, between that and Amanda’s mom, that was just so freaking funny” said another fan.

But the biggest question seemed to be what had viewers seen him in before?

Samuel is no newbie to our television screens in fact you probably saw him at Christmas.

As he made an appearance in the final ever episode of Gavin & Stacey for the 2024 Christmas Day Special.

He played the part of Fingers, part of Gavin (Mathew Horne) and Smithy’s (James Corden) friendship group.

And he returned for Smithy’s bachelor party ahead of his ill-fated wedding to Sonia (Laura Aikman).

Before that he also played a recurring role in the eighth series of Doctor Who.

Samuel starred as companion Clara Oswald’s (Jenna Coleman) boyfriend Danny Pink.

The pair both worked as teachers in a local school and began dating, however Danny was hit by a car and was resurrected as a Cyberman but their love still remained.

Samuel has also appeared in various soaps including Emmerdale, Casualty and Doctors.

And he has also starred in Netflix sci-fi series Another Life alongside Katee Sackhoff.

Amandaland airs on BBC1 and is available to stream on BBCIplayer.
