
Home and Away cast address sudden exit: ‘Not the same without you’

The cast of Home and Away have addressed the sudden exit of series regular Luke Van Os following his character Xander Delaney’s permanent departure.
Last month, Luke left the role of Xander behind for good after starring as the Summer Bay barman for nearly three years.
In episodes that aired last year for Australian viewers, Xander moved away from the Bay for six weeks to take a new job in Melbourne as an intern at a hotel.

In recent Australian paced episodes Xander told his long-distance girlfriend Dana Matheson broke up after Xander made the decision to stay in Melbourne permanently.
Taking to Instagram, Luke shared an emotional tribute to his time on the soap in the form of a video montage which included a series of behind-the-scenes shots of his castmates.
He captioned the video: “Where does the time go, thanks for the best 3 years @homeandaway”.
In the comment section, Luke added another message, which read: “Special thank you to everyone who watched Xander over the last 3 years, your support has never gone unnoticed.”
Luke’s former co-stars took to the comment section to address his exit, with Tristan Gorey, who plays Levi Fowler, commenting: “It’s not the same without you, my friend.”

Rose Delaney actor Kirsty Marillier, wrote “AW MAN!!!!!!” while Matt Evans, who stars as Theo Poulos, penned: “Yeah bro such a great time miss you.”
Former cast members also took to the comment section to share their thoughts on Luke’s exit, with Laura Vazquez commenting: “Such fun times and Vibez @lukevanos we miss you ❤️ Mama xx”
Meanwhile, Sam Frost commented: “This is epic 🙌🏻 I feel so lucky we got to be real life housemates and on-screen bro and sis. You’re the best! We love you x”
