Jeremy Lindsay Taylor is joining the cast of Home and Away – again.
The actor previously appeared on the show in 2016 and 2017 as corrupt detective Dylan Carter, though he has now been cast as a new copper with no connection to his past character.
The Australian soap has confirmed that Taylor will take on the role of David Langham, who will up the post of Police Sergeant at Yabbie Creek Police Station in the coming months.
Sergeant Langham is described as a “straight-talking, by-the-book cop who is determined to ensure his new team toe the line”.
This includes Senior Constable Cash Newman, who doesn’t get off to the best start with his new boss.

Away from work, Sergeant Langham is a “devoted family man” who arrives in Summer Bay with his daughter Jo, played by Maddison Brown.
During his first day on the job, David discovers that his estranged daughter Lacey is also living in the Bay – but she doesn’t want anything to do with him.
As the story unfolds, viewers will discover “the truth behind the event that shattered this once-happy family”.
Sophea Pennington recently made her debut as Lacey, with the character introduced as the girlfriend of River Boys ringleader Gage.
Channel 5However, she feels an instant attraction to Matt Evans’ character Theo, and it turns out the attraction was also mutual in real-life as Pennington and Evans are currently dating.
“He’s such a lovely, lovely guy and a great person to work with, extremely talented. So I couldn’t have asked for a better co-star,” she said about him last month.
“Yes, we are dating in real life. He really is the best. And also, it works, you know, I guess chemistry’s chemistry.
“I think, if anything, it creates such a safe space for us – because we’re so comfortable with each other – to be able to really dive deep into the story and the relationship between the two characters.”
