Harper goes into wedding planning mode with John, who has found a spot on the beach that he thinks is perfect. However, Tane fails to show up for the conversation and he brushes off Harper when she asks what he thinks about the arrangements.
Later, John arrives for a meeting but Tane defers to Harper for all of the important decisions. Harper once again starts to question how committed Tane is to the wedding and whether he cares at all.
Tane surprises Harper with dinner and a ring and promises that she represents the future he’s always wanted. Harper still feels unsure and calls Dana, admitting that Tane still can’t say that he loves her.
Meanwhile, Sonny quizzes Remi on why he’s sticking around in the Bay after his windfall. He gets Mali and Kirby involved in drinks at Salt, announcing that Remi will be paying the bill. John issues Remi with a warning that Sonny seems to just be using him for access to his trust fund. When Remi brings this up, Sonny jokingly admits it.
Later, Sonny opens up to Remi about the dark day that his parents lost all their money when he was younger. He admits that he hated Remi when his own family were struggling.
