There’s no shortage of drama in Home and Away this week as friendships fracture, danger looms, and a familiar face takes a brave step back into public life.
After discovering that Sonny has been recklessly spending on a shared credit card, Remi takes decisive action. Before Sonny’s spree can spiral further out of control, Remi blocks the card — cutting him off and sending a clear message that enough is enough. Theo, caught in the middle of his feuding friends, attempts to mediate and bring some peace to the situation. However, Remi stands firm, refusing to give Sonny any more chances.
Feeling ashamed and desperate to make things right, Sonny comes up with a plan to pay Remi back. He and Theo decide to take a risky opportunity with Gage, a mysterious newcomer who recently offered them work at Salt. But things quickly get complicated when Theo notices something chilling — Gage sports a Blood and Sand tattoo, identifying him as one of the infamous River Boys. Given the gang’s dangerous reputation in Summer Bay, Theo’s concerns are valid — but Sonny is too focused on the money to listen.
Their unease only deepens when they officially start work. Gage wastes no time showing the brutal way he handles problems. When a fight breaks out, Gage responds by breaking up the scuffle with shocking violence — smashing a wrench into someone’s ankle without hesitation. It’s a stark warning to Theo and Sonny about the kind of world they’re stepping into.
Amidst the chaos, Theo finds himself bonding with a blonde girl connected to the River Boys. She seems fun and flirty, and Theo impulsively exchanges numbers with her, hopeful for a bit of light-hearted distraction. However, his optimism is quickly crushed when he later spots her kissing Gage. The realization that he has unintentionally stepped into Gage’s territory could have dangerous consequences — and Theo may soon find out just how brutal the River Boys can be when crossed.
Meanwhile, Kirby faces her own dilemma as she tries to further her music career. She wants to ask Remi for financial support but struggles to find the right moment. When Justin steps in and makes the request on her behalf, it catches Remi off guard. Still reeling from Sonny’s betrayal and feeling used by those he considered friends, Remi might not react kindly to another person asking him for money. Whether Remi can separate his hurt feelings from his loyalty to Kirby remains to be seen.
Elsewhere in the Bay, Irene takes a major step forward in her recovery journey. After completing a stint in rehab, Irene returns to work at the Diner. Although outwardly determined, she struggles internally, haunted by the fear of being judged by the customers. For Irene, the Diner has always been more than just a workplace — it’s her second home and a symbol of her place in the community. Battling her own insecurities and shame, Irene’s return is a raw and emotional milestone in her road to healing.
And finally, there’s a big career development for Cash. Rose confirms that she is being promoted out of Summer Bay — and that Cash will be stepping up to take her place. It’s a huge opportunity for Cash, but it also signals change on the horizon for the town’s law enforcement team. With new leadership comes new challenges — and Cash will have to navigate his way carefully in his expanded role.
As tension brews between old friends, dangerous new alliances form, and personal battles unfold, life in Summer Bay shows no sign of slowing down.
