Next week on Home and Away in the UK, Perri faces a bleak future as his bail chances dwindle, and Theo makes a shocking confession to the police about his role in hiding him.
Perri (Cantona Stewart) has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of his abusive father, Carl (Matthew Holmes). While Perri claims self-defense, the autopsy results—revealing Carl had water in his lungs—cast doubt on his story, making it seem less straightforward.
The situation began when Tane (Ethan Browne) found Perri traumatized, with Carl’s body floating in the pool after a violent confrontation. Despite Carl breaching an AVO by approaching Perri, and Tane’s confidence that the incident was self-defense, Perri fled before the police arrived, fearing the justice system wouldn’t protect him.
Perri sought refuge with Theo (Matt Evans), who understood his pain, having experienced similar abuse from his own father. Theo hid Perri at Summer Bay Auto, even as Tane faced suspicion from the authorities for helping him escape.
When Theo realized that Perri’s continued evasion would only make him look guiltier, he convinced Tane to talk sense into him. After a heart-to-heart, Perri decided to face the consequences and turned himself in. However, his confession didn’t go as planned. Rose (Kirsty Marillier) questioned the inconsistencies in his account, especially regarding his failure to check Carl’s pulse or attempt to save him. Perri was locked up, awaiting a bail hearing.
Theo’s Confession
As Tane reassures Rose that Perri acted in self-defense, Rose remains skeptical. She even warns Tane he’s lucky not to be arrested for aiding Perri. Meanwhile, Perri’s lawyer, Jane (Charlotte Friels), informs him that his chances of bail are slim and that corroborating witnesses could be crucial.
When Theo learns of Perri’s plight, he makes a difficult decision. Heading to the police station, he confesses to Rose that he was the one hiding Perri. Despite Theo’s honesty, Rose doubts his claim of acting alone, given his prior dishonesty.
Justin (James Stewart) and Leah (Ada Nicodemou) arrive to support Theo, initially furious but later sympathetic when Theo explains his actions. He reveals Perri’s history of abuse, pointing out that he acted out of compassion. However, Justin and Leah remind him he should have turned to them for help.
Rose’s Dilemma
Rose finds herself at a crossroads. Newly promoted to Senior Constable, she wrestles with whether to charge Theo or show leniency. Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) advises her to use discretion, reminding her of Theo’s own painful past, which motivated his decision to help Perri.
As Rose reenters the interview room, she’s reached a decision. Will she let Theo off with a warning, or will she feel obligated to make an example of him in her new role?
Elsewhere in Summer Bay
Meanwhile, Justin and Leah’s marriage continues to fracture. Following a misunderstanding involving Claudia (Rachael Carpani), Justin has been staying at a motel. While Leah contemplates reconciliation with advice from Marilyn’s tarot cards, Theo grows frustrated, pointing out that their issues pale in comparison to Perri’s plight.
With tensions running high across Summer Bay, the next week promises pivotal moments for all involved. Will justice be served for Perri, and what will become of Theo after his heartfelt confession?
