Home and Away Spoilers: Theo Surrenders to the Police Over Perri’s Hiding

Next week on Home and Away, Theo (Matt Evans) faces the consequences of his actions as he admits to Senior Constable Rose Delaney (Kirsty Marillier) that he was the one hiding Perri (Cantona Stewart) after his father Carl’s (Matthew Holmes) death.

After Carl’s body is discovered in the pool, with Perri seemingly the only one present, Tane (Ethan Browne) contacts the authorities. Carl had previously violated a protective order by approaching Perri, who had endured years of abuse, leading Tane to believe Perri’s actions were in self-defense. However, after Carl was acquitted of assault, Perri lost faith in the justice system and fled the scene before police arrived.

In hiding, Perri turned to Theo, who had also suffered at the hands of his abusive father, and sought refuge at Summer Bay Auto. While Perri remained in hiding, Tane became a suspect for helping him escape.

As Rose warned Theo about the growing suspicion surrounding Perri’s disappearance, Theo took Tane to see Perri, hoping to convince him to turn himself in. Despite their best efforts, Perri chose to return home and eventually turned himself in with Tane and Harper (Jessica Redmayne) by his side.

Meanwhile, the autopsy results revealed that Carl had water in his lungs, challenging Perri’s self-defense story that his father hit his head during a struggle. Perri was arrested on suspicion of murder and locked up, with his chances of bail looking slim.

The situation escalates as Theo, grappling with the legal consequences of his actions, faces the possibility of being charged as an accessory. Tane insists that Perri acted in self-defense, but Rose continues to suspect he played a role in hiding Perri.

The tension mounts when a young legal aid lawyer, Jane (Charlotte Friels), arrives to represent Perri. During his interrogation, Perri’s version of events is picked apart by Rose, who questions why he didn’t try to save Carl after the altercation. As Perri is returned to his cell, Jane urges him to consider the impact of revealing who helped him escape.

As Theo processes the gravity of his involvement, Rose later confronts him and demands the truth. With Theo now caught in a moral dilemma, he decides to come clean to Rose, admitting that he was the one who hid Perri. Rose is taken aback but remains skeptical, unsure whether to let Theo off or follow through with a charge.

Meanwhile, tensions grow between Justin (James Stewart) and Leah (Ada Nicodemou) as their marriage hits a breaking point, complicated by Justin’s involvement with Claudia (Rachael Carpani). Despite Leah’s frustration, Theo’s confession adds further strain on the situation. The couple, forced to put aside their differences, heads to the police station to support Theo, but are left conflicted as they hear his reasoning for helping Perri, whose history of abuse by Carl weighed heavily on Theo’s decision.

In a conversation with Cash (Nicholas Cartwright), Rose is reminded of Theo’s traumatic past and the motivations behind his actions. She is left to decide whether to exercise discretion in this case or uphold her duty as a police officer, which could mean charging Theo for his role in hiding Perri. The stakes are high as Rose grapples with her decision.
