Home and Away‘s Levi Fowler is set to confront Mali Hudson as he and Rose Delaney cause chaos in new scenes.
Next week, Rose will struggle upon learning that brother Xander is leaving Summer Bay for good after securing a permanent job following his Melbourne internship.
She questions whether it is worth even staying in the Bay herself after Xander’s exit, and in new scenes airing next Wednesday and Thursday (April 16 and 17), Mali gets wind of Xander’s departure.
He cancels dinner plans with Abigail to check Rose is OK, though doesn’t admit this to his former girlfriend, and while initially putting on a front, Rose expresses her anger and doubts to him about her own future.
Mali suggests that she use her brother’s absence to think about what she wants, and he hugs him after his words of encouragement.

However, the two are unaware that Abigail witnessed that moment, and she is left shocked that her boyfriend appears to be embracing his ex on the night he cancelled plans with her.
Abigail heads home and tells Levi about what she saw, wrongly suggesting that they were all over each other. At the same time, Mali is beaming about Abigail to Rose.
Following his words of encouragement, Rose tells Mali that she has decided to become a detective. Mali shares his support as the two appreciate the strong friendship they’ve maintained.

Mali Hudson is blindsided when Levi Fowler arrives at the surf shack, expression tight with frustration. The usually chill atmosphere is shattered as Levi wastes no time getting to the point.
“Abigail came home in tears,” Levi says, voice sharp. “She saw you and Rose—what was that?”
Caught off guard, Mali tries to defend himself. “It was nothing, mate. Rose is going through a tough time with Xander leaving. I was just being there for her.”
Levi isn’t convinced. “You lied to Abigail. That’s not nothing.”
Mali’s face falls. He knows he messed up—not by hugging Rose, but by not being honest. “I didn’t want to upset her. Abigail already struggles with how close Rose and I are. I figured if I told her I was checking on Rose, it would just blow up.”
Levi, unrelenting, fires back: “And how’s that working out for you?”
The silence that follows says it all.
Meanwhile, Rose, oblivious to the storm brewing, shares her detective ambitions with Cash Newman, who’s thrilled to mentor her through the next stage of her policing career. She feels rejuvenated, finally finding clarity after weeks of emotional turmoil. But the glow dims when Abigail confronts her at the diner later that day.
“I saw you,” Abigail says coldly. “The hug. The looks. What am I supposed to think?”
Rose is taken aback but stands her ground. “Mali and I have a past, yes. But it is the past. That hug was about friendship and support, nothing more.”
Abigail doesn’t look convinced, but she leaves without another word.
Back at the shack, Mali reflects on Levi’s words. He later finds Abigail watching the sunset alone. Sitting beside her, he opens up.
“I should’ve told you the truth. Not because there was anything to hide, but because I care about you. And I let fear speak louder than trust.”
Abigail doesn’t say anything for a while. Then softly, she replies, “I don’t need you to cut Rose out of your life. I just need to know that you’ll choose honesty with me every time.”
Mali nods, relieved but still aware that trust takes time to rebuild.
As the dust settles, Summer Bay prepares for more change—but with hearts on the line, honesty might be the only thing strong enough to keep these connections from breaking completely.

However, Levi decides to go and visit Mali, who is unaware of the hurt he has caused Abigail and admits it was easier to lie to her than explain his friendship with Rose.
Levi is having none of it though, declaring that Abigail thinks he is cheating.
