Home and Away’s Tane left crushed as Harper makes another baby decision

Home and Away‘s Tane Parata will be left devastated when Harper Matheson asks him to leave her hospital room after she gives birth.
In upcoming scenes airing in Australia, Harper is still recovering from her traumatic labour into the bush after Eliza Sherwood lied about calling an ambulance.
At the hospital, Harper starts haemorrhaging after giving birth. When she wakes up after surgery, Tane is by her side, but she asks him to leave.
The ex-couple are navigating a painful split after Tane confessed he didn’t love Harper, but intended to marry her for the sake of their baby. After calling off the wedding, Harper hasn’t decided yet what role Tane is to play in their son Archie’s life.

After Tane leaves, Mackenzie Booth asks Harper if she really intends to exclude Tane at such a special time for both of them.
Cash Newman, still thinking that Harper was going to have a C-section, wishes Tane well on the upcoming birth of his son. Tane then reveals that Archie was born the previous day and that Harper had asked him to leave.
Eden Fowler emerges from the bedroom after overhearing the conversation.
Cash brings flowers to Harper, learning that she went into emergency surgery and that Tane failed to disclose this important detail.
Harper asks how Tane is doing, and Cash explains he’s not well.
Tane’s friends try to cheer him up and coax him out of his room, but he’s in a dark place, and has even wondered whether Harper’s behaviour would lead to a custody battle.
Mackenzie is adamant about helping her pal and agrees to deliver a present for Archie at the hospital.

When Mackenzie presents Harper with the gift, she claims to be tired and says that she needs some sleep, but Mack insists the gift needs to be opened today.
Unable to face it herself, Harper asks her sister Dana to open it for her. In the box, Dana finds a handwritten letter for Archie and a Korowai, a traditional Māori ceremonial cloak.
After Dana reads Tane’s letter aloud, Harper is moved to tears and invites Tane back to the hospital.
When he enters the room, Tane sees Archie wearing his Korowai. Harper apologises, saying he should be there with them.
Will this be the beginning of a successful co-parenting relationship?
“Harper may have relented for now, but there’s a sense that her issues with Tane are still unresolved,” our Home and Away source shares.
“Things are still up in the air for the ex-couple, as they haven’t properly discussed the role that Tane should bring in Archie’s upbringing. Can they make it work for their newborn son’s sake?”
